Our strategy for 2026 - 2030
We empower communities affected by conflict, displacement, and marginalisation through access to quality education and the development of sustainable education systems in the Eastern and Horn of Africa.
Our ambitious 2026–2030 Strategic Plan builds on decades of work in fragile contexts, and aims to deepen its local leadership, strengthen systems, and deliver quality education that changes lives.
Against a backdrop of profound global uncertainty, climate shocks, and funding cuts, our Strategic Plan is ambitious and forward-looking. We remain committed to delivering quality education to those most affected by conflict, displacement, and marginalisation.
WTI will do more with less, embedding efficiency and collaboration to deliver meaningful impact with limited resources, while deepening partnerships with local and national actors as part of our continued localisation agenda.
Our strategic goals for 2026 - 2030
We are committed to delivering quality education to those most affected by conflict, displacement, and marginalisation in Sudan, South Sudan, and Somaliland.
With our local teams working closely with governments, host communities, refugees, and internally displaced people (IDPs), WTI provides safe learning spaces and empowers individuals through teacher training, alternative education pathways, and scholarships.
Through strong partnerships and collective action, WTI will continue to demonstrate that education - even in crisis - offers a foundation for peace, dignity and opportunity.
